Dr Martin Lloyd-Jones said: “A great danger confronting us in this present time is that people keep talking about Christianity instead of talking about Jesus. We start with ourselves, we start with our problems our difficulties, we start with the world as it is, and we end with that. People are merely interested in the application of Christianity not the Christ of Christianity.”
The people wanted to make Jesus king because they saw the miracles and not the kingdom of God and in our worship we can fall into the trap of the what taking precedence over who that is Jesus Christ the centre of our worship.
